There is what looks like solder on one of the slag glass panels (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in glass but there are light scratches (see photos). Rewired Antique 26 Art Deco Cast Iron Table Lamp Finial Brown Slag Glass FX324
Brown Slag Glass Accent. This table lamp is a recent estate sale find. At the time the original wiring was cracked and unsafe. The decision was made to replace it new cloth covered wiring to match the original. After the installation the lamp was tested and is completely functional. This lamp is about 26″ high to the top of the included original solid brass fini al 21-7/8″ to the top of the cluster cap. The cast iron base is about 6-3/4 in diameter. The brown slag glass accent is about 2 in diameter and is free of cracks, chips, and repairs. The new electric cord is about 6′-6 in length. No lamp shade is included in this listing. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. The base was originally from a floor lamp and the shade was a swag hanging lamp. The cap-cover and finial have a fastener and pull up to access socket for bulb replacement (see photos). There are fleur de lis on upper part of shade but one of them back by henge is missing (seep photos). There are areas of patina or tarnish and blemishes on the metal (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in any of the slag glass (see photos). The shade frame has some chipped missing paint (see photos). Mission Oak Slag Stained Glass Desk Lamp W. B. Brown
Acquired from a storage sale close to home. I believe this lamp goes back to the early 1900s. Signs of wear are visible so please refer to the photos to hopefully get a general idea of state.
