It measures approximately 16 inches front of shade to back of base on back side as shown in gallery photo, 5.5 inches in diameter for shade, 9.5 inches in diameter at base and 25 inches tall. Nice Bradley and Hubbard Leaded Slag Glass Art Nouveau Table Lamp Handel Era
Just out of a local smoke free house is this very nice antique Bradley and Hubbard leaded slag glass lamp. The lamp shade has a border of purple flowers, perhaps Irises, with green leaves and a caramel geometric slag glass top section. The base has large leaves all around and it has a bronzed finish. The upper section has an adjustable riser to raise or lower the shade and electrics. The top socket cluster is marked with the triangular Bradley and Hubbard mfg. The pull chain sockets are old and work well. One is marked Arrow and the other is marked HH so one may be an old replacement. The wiring was updated some time ago and works well. The lamp stands about 23 1/2 inches tall at its lowest setting and the shade measures about 18 inches across. The shade is in good condition with two small hairlines in the border glass segments and one in one of the caramel slag glass segments. The base has some some oxidation, some wear to the finish, and some worn spots. See photos as they are part of the description. Would make a nice addition to any collection and is guaranteed as described.

Up for consideration is this Rare One of a Kind Awesome Antique Torch Staircase Lamp Polygon Cream Slag Glass Shade and cut glass finial. Being green thinkers we took a hanging lamp and placed it as shown on another base. Generally speaking, slag glass lamps predate Tiffany’s style of lamps. Which was using broken pieces of slag glass, cut or grinding them joining them geometrically as needed to make lamp shades. They were joined together using a foil welding method developed by Tiffany. It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. This is another lamp we have married a base and shade. There light area of missing paint, patina and tarnishing of the brass (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in any of the slag glass. Please view all photos carefully as they are a part of the item description. Nice JA Whaley Leaded Slag Glass Overlay Arts & Crafts Desk Lamp Handel Era
Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. Here’s a great looking J A Whaley metal overlay desk lamp. Really nice form with thick a great design of yellow flowers and green leaves. In terms of size, the shade measures 7 1/2″ square and lamp is 15 1/2″ tall. In terms of condition I see no cracks or chips and the glass and the filigree is all good and original. The pot metal base has much of its original gold wash finish and what looks like its original socket with a ball ended pull chain. It has been recently wired and comes ready to use and enjoy. It is a very nice looking all. Desk or accent lamp that would look great in an arts & crafts setting. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. For anyone of you out there that buys or sells these, you know that if done correctly this amount won’t actually cover it.
