Handel / Unique Arts & Crafts Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp Tiffany Era

This is a super beautiful floral boarder leaded lamp that is the combination of a Unique shade and a Handel base. These often appear out there and as long as they don’t have a HANDEL tag in them or a Handel ring in the top, they are most likely antique (like this one is). This is a guaranteed, period 1905 lamp, and not a reproduction. I will my pictures do most of the talking here, and from these you can see the very elegant and well thought out design of this beautiful lamp. The reds are so deep and vibrant and contrast extremely well with the greens in the background pieces. This is a full sized table lamp with an 18″ diameter shade that stands 24″ tall. Its actually a fairly rare version of this periwinkle style shade in that the apron curves in. I think it adds a lot of style and some complexity to the design. In terms of condition, I see a few ties here and there with minor cracks in them. There are over 1000 pieces in this shade, so it is actually pretty hard to notice them anyway. The base is a wonderful Handel quatrefoil with a 3 socket cluster. Its in nice original condition with a great deep reddish brown finish that matches the shade very nicely. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. Neither the base nor the shade is signed, but again, beware of the shades like this that are as many that were made in the 1970′s bear a Handel tag. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that’s fine. For anyone of you out there that buys or sells these, you know that if done correctly this amount won’t actually cover it.
