Well documented Antique shade pictured in “Electric Lighting” Of the 20′s & 30′s volume 2 on pages #15, #17 & #18 from original catalog of the Empire Quality Lamps Co. Made in Chicago. Extremely hard to find – factory produced – 6 hook – antique slag glass ceiling shade. Stunning “Green & Carmel” slag glass Panels combined with its LARGE 20 dia. Size and filigree overlay would give this shade truly impressive visual impact in any setting – home or office! The shade measures about 20 in dia. And is about 8 tall/deep with no heat cap built in to allow heat to escape from the older incandescent light bulbs – because it was made to hang upside down – no longer a problem with new low heat light-bulbs we have today so you choose how you want to use it – Hang it or use it on a table lamp base.
