2 x DECO NOUVEAU WHITE CURVED TULIP SLAG GLASS LAMP HANGING LIGHT SHADES

2 WHITE CURVED TULIP. SLAG GLASS LAMP LIGHT SHADE. This listing is for the SHADE/S ONLY. Are to peak your imagination and/or display purpose. The ancillaries are not part of this listing. I have two of these but as is with all hand-made items they are not identical although they are very close. This glass in these shades is not solid white. It has pale grey/off white running vertically through it. The glass is in excellent condition – no chips cracks or signs of wear. The usual manufacturing imperfections associated with this type of glass are present. These can be used on lamps facing up or down as well as hanging light shades with the assistance of an electrician and/or a little modification by way of enlarging the hole in the disc at the fitter end to accommodate modern day fittings. The brass embellishments are all present. I had this shade restored prior to listing as two had fractured. These have been copper soldered and due to the ornate nature of the design of the embellishment are barely visible. Once the copper has aged it will be virtually impossible to detect. This shade was also given an aged copper finish at the time of restoration. The grey (lead) solder is original. One of the brass embellishments is missing. This was of no consequence to me as they were fitted to sconces in my bathroom and I simply put the missing strip to the wall. I have been told by a leadlighter that this embellishment is still available. I have also seen these shades without the embellishments and they present quite well so if you wanted to permanently remove or replace with a different design this is achievable.
