The glass in this dragon fly shade is pretty nice as you can see in the photos and i only used two 7 watt bulbs for the photos and look how vibrant the colors are. Its a nice utilitarian size meaning not too big and not too small. The base measuring 21 inches tall and the shade being 18 inches wide. The base in nice original chocolate brown patina with the sockets matching and in fine working order. There is no damage at all to the base. The base retaining its beautiful Hubbell sockets and acorn pulls that are also in fine working order. The base signed on the bottom but very lightly and i could make out the letters del which is the ending three letters for handel. 110% known and documented handel base and not a reproduction guaranteed. As for the shade that is also in very nice overall condition. Nice quality glass and as you can see it lights up very very nicely. All the leading tight and right and as a very nice touch, the maker (unknown) used small pieces of chunk glass for the eyes on the dragon flys. The shade not period to the base but quality built nonetheless. All in all a nice arts and crafts style lamp in very nice overall condition. You cant beat that. Of course if you would like to pick it up at my location that is welcome as well. We may be able to hand deliver this item ourselves. What that means is this.
