Ornate Antique Old Victorian Silver Gorham Leaded Slag Stained Glass Table Lamp

Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is an outstanding example of Gorham’s work in stained glass table lamps. Just look at the detail in the shade….. And the matching base! This lamp is one that was specifically made this way, with exactly matching base and shade. The emblems on the shade are exactly matched to those in the base. The quality is second to none, with extremely fine lead lines and a great selection of glass. I will let my pictures do most of the talking here since I cannot describe this lamp any better. What I will say is the lamp looks just as good lit as it does unlit, but lighting it does bring out some of the subtitles in the glass. As for size the shade is 17″ in diameter and the lamp stands about 22″ tall. It is silver plated on the leading and in the base. The details in the emblems are just wonderful and these are repeated in the base. I see maybe 10-15 small cracks, mostly in the red glass behind the emblems, The base has 4 matching Paulding labeled sockets with their original porcelain interiors and acorn ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and a nice old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. I have seen many Gorham lamps but have not come across this exact one before. It may have been a special order for a wedding or some gift or something….. But suffice it to say that there can’t be many out here like it. It is a beautiful example of their work. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times.
