Antique Slag Glass Scenic Lamp Shade Miller, Salem Bros, Bradley & Hubbard
Offered for sale is an antique style slag glass lamp shade with a scenic country-side design. I have no provenance for this lamp shade, but it looks to be a good match for either a Miller, Salem Bros. Or Bradley & Hubbard lamp base. The interior hexagon framing is steel reinforced, whereas the decorative metal is not magnetic (likely zinc and/or nickel with a bronze plating). I detect no significant damage other than some chipping of the slag glass panels only visible from the underside of the shade. The cottage windows design does show some missing muntins in a few of the panels. The lamp shade measures 16-1/2″ across the bottom, it is about 8″ high, and has a 3-1/2 opening on the top.
