This is a nice leaded lamp with great color as you can see. The handel base measures 24 inches tall and the shade is 18.5 inches wide, so this is a large lamp folks. The base without issue, which means no metalware breaks or damage and its in fine working order. It has a three socket cluster and its been recently rewired with correct period style cloth cord and old plug. The patina worn a little bit on the base as would be expected for a 100 year old base. The shade in original condition with all pieces of glass present and accounted for. A few stray tight age cracks, 8 or so, here or there as would be expected for a leaded shade such as, especially with the shade having several hundred pieces in the making process such as this. The glass vibrant and alive as the pictures show and all the leading intact. Great glass here folks with some nice dirt in the striations of the glass. Very nice patina on the leading throughout as well. As far as i know, only handel shades fit handel shade rests and thats been the standard for me for 20+ years. So could this be a handel shade, i say yes. Is it signed no. Either way an extremely nice shade handel or not on a very nice signed handel base. Base also coming with the very desirable tepee shade rest which adds more character and depth to the overall appearance. Zone two would be 75.00 times 20% which equals 15.00 which is added to the 75.00 and becomes 90.00. Zone three is 75.00 times 33% which is 25.00 which then becomes 100.00 for zone three. I will be offering my lamps as reasonable as possible so as to 1. Not cause sticker shock like so many other sellers, 2. To sell them and not let my inventory sit around for years on end. Thanks for checking this great lamp out and please check out my other great lighting options as well. Recently I have been putting different lighting on with reserves and no reserves. Please Check out my other items! Some great Bradley Hubbard, Tiffany, Handel, etc. To all potential buyers. Please feel free to. Chances are if there aren’t any, it’s a newer item and you shouldn’t want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. Thanks for your understanding. There are a few things in life we cant do without. Food, water, fire, oxygen, the sun, shelter etc. So when it comes to shelter and necessary light for it, thats where I come in. I believe in living simply and within my means but surrounded by items of great quality. Of and the wasteful utilities that go along with that. So why is it people go out and spend. Not to mention you got the same usage for that entire time period? This makes infinitely more financial sense than the other choice, plus you have a conversation piece in the room and something to be proud of. Also you have more cultural feeling invested in something 100 years old knowing that it can never be duplicated by modern making techniques and knowing there a few, if any, like it left for this world and now its yours. You display it and care for it. So again thats where I come in. Great period lighting when electricity was still in its infancy. When makers like Bradley and Hubbard, Handel, Tiffany studios, Pairpoint, and others cared about quality, appearance, and function. When makers were trying to outdo one another with this new business boom of electric lighting. When we went from whale and kerosene oil lamps and gas, to electric. This is when the best lamps in the world were manufactured and the ones I want to light my home with when its dark. I cant control the sun or the amount of light it provides or when it comes up or goes down, and whether its cloudy or not, but I can control the light in my home when its dark. And like I said earlier, I want nice rugs, paintings, pottery, furniture, etc. And I want to see those items lit by great lighting. Its what makes a home more outstanding and livable because without it you see absolutely nothing. A quality lamp makes or breaks a room. You can have the best rugs, furniture, paintings, and accessories in the world, but without great lamps or lighting nobody will ever see it. Antique Arts & Crafts Large Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Metal Base Cir. This table lamp is all original as found. The shade has twelve pieces of curve green slag glass in a metal frame. The base is all metal with original electric sockets dated 1910 and has original pull chains. There are no cracks or breaks on the glass. The original brown finish is almost worn off the base and gone on the shade. The original green felt under the base is very worn. This lamp has been rewired by previous owner, sockets are original. The top of the shade mounting ring is slightly bent and the mounting ring on the top of the base is slightly bent also. There are two marker marks when aligned up, you will have a level fit on base and shade. I think the mounting bolt is not the original, only has a few threads to secure the top cap. There is even age wear on base and shade for being this old. There are a few heat cracks in the shade metal ornamentation. This is a large lamp that measures 25 1/2 tall. Shade is 20 ” across and the base is 6″ wide at the base. You will look a long time before you find another lamp like this. Please look close at the pictures as they are part of the description. Great size on this slag glass lamp with bronze patina. 24 inches tall x 21 inch wide shade. Slag shades have a textured surface with a reverse painted/printed pattern – which is very unusual. Great color and design. Base is in good condition, we suggest rewiring. Clips that hold the shades in place are missing on most spaces. There’s are also two breaks in the outer shade rim, see photos. It is still structurally sound because it is s very well made shade. There is an original to the piece thick wire welded to the outer underside rim of the shade for support. There is tape residue on the underside of shades that should be removed. We photographed the lamps underside with the blue tape I used to hold the shades in place for the photograph. Fine detail from the base to the rim of the shade with the curly wave like design… The finial is also interesting, like an urn. This is a great looking lamp that is different from most and would be a great addition to your collection.
