Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is an unusual John Morgan lotus leaf style lamp. It is pictured on a different base in the black & white advertisement from the company that I have taken a picture of and which appears in my last image. It is a really cool and highly unusual design with two alternating rows of bent panels that make up the shade. The bottom row is light green/white, while the top row is light caramel/white. Together they make up a shade with alternating green and brown petals….. I think they were trying to copy Handel’s design for these, but the Morgan version is much larger and in my view, much more impressive. There are 46 individual bent pieces of glass in this one…. All leaded together to make the lotus style shade. Out of all of these, I see one very tiny and almost unnoticeable crack (pictured in image 9) that is in one of the green panels underneath. Even with the lamp on. In terms of size, this is a full sized table lamp with the shade measuring 18 1/2″ in diameter and standing 23″ tall. The base has sort of a leaf looking pattern in it. This pattern is made with thick copper foil over what appears to be a mainly plaster filled body. The finish is dark copper and appears to be original. It has what appear to be its original Ostrander labeled sockets with their original porcelain interiors and ball ended pull chains. It has been wired with period style cloth braided cord and an old plug and comes ready to use and enjoy. I think you will agree that it is well worth it to get it as pictured. All that being said. If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. The item “Antique John Morgan Leaded Slag Stained Glass Handel Duffner Tiffany Era Lamp” is in sale since Sunday, March 19, 2017.
